Learn to cook from a real chef when you participate in Surry County’s Chef and Child experience. Join Chef Rob Creel and experience indoor and outdoor cooking. Come hungry and ready to eat your own culinary creations. Registration is required! Open to ages 12-18.

4-H Livestock Club!

If you enjoy animals and are interested in learning more about them then this is the club for you! Our 4-H livestock club will teach you all about different animals including cows, sheep, horses, goats, chickens, and more! No previous livestock experience is needed. Ages 5-18 welcome! 

When: Thursday, June 26^th at 6:30 pm

 All youth will have opportunities to interact with different livestock animals during these meetings and are not required to provide their own.

Farm Fest

Join Surry County 4-H at Farm Fest in Downtown Mount Airy this weekend! On Saturday, May 17th from 9 am-6 pm come check out what Farm Fest is all about. 

4-H will have a booth set up educating kids on planting, soil, and different types of vegetables, fruits, and flowers. Take a stroll down Main Street and experience fun games, rides, and activities as you learn about agriculture and farming in our community!

Summer Explosion 2014!!

Summer Explosion will be starting SOON! Registration will be on Thursday, May 22nd 5:30-7:00 pm at the Cooperative Extension Office in Dobson!

We will be offering several diverse & exciting classes for ages 5-18 all summer long!
