4-H is For You! 4-H is a fun and educational program for children ages 5-18. The 4-H program is the youth component of the N.C. Cooperative Extension, that is dedicated to helping boys and girls develop life skills needed to be contributing members of their communities. Children of all racial, cultural, economic and social backgrounds are welcome to participate in 4-H educational programs. 4-H is open to all kids – you do not have to live on a farm to enjoy 4-H opportunities!

2017 NC State Fair Livestock Scholarship Application

The North Carolina State Fair will award up to 25 scholarships, valued at $2,000, to youth who have exhibited livestock at the N.C. State Fair, regardless of breed, class or show placement. The scholarships are designed for high school seniors and students currently enrolled in an institute of higher education who have participated in the junior livestock or market turkey shows at the N.C. State Fair. The scholarships were funded by sponsors of the annual N.C. State Fair Junior Livestock Sale of Champions. The number of scholarships awarded each year is based on qualified applicants and funds available from the previous year’s Sale of Champions.
